Legends & Learning Expands with New Resources and Reach
This year marked a significant milestone for our signature educational program, Legends & Learning. The revitalization of the program introduced updated materials, expanded access, and a clearer pathway for students and educators to explore the stories of South Dakotans who have shaped our state.
The refreshed program offers engaging lesson plans, video interviews, activity guides, and background information that bring the achievements of Honorees to life. As it continues to grow, Legends & Learning is reaching more classrooms and youth programs throughout South Dakota, encouraging students to explore excellence and see themselves as future changemakers.

The Legacy of Excellence Campaign for $4,455,000, concluded its second year, and we hope to end the second year of the campaign, 2025, with 72% of our goal met or over $3,200,000. This campaign is a comprehensive initiative that strengthens the South Dakota Hall of Fame's long-term sustainability. Focusing on innovation in programming, preservation of the state’s history, and support for our Honorees, this campaign paves the way for enhancements that will ensure the Hall of Fame continues to inspire future generations.

A Fresh Visual Identity for the Hall of Fame
This year, we introduced a new visual identity for the South Dakota Hall of Fame. The refreshed look reflects a renewed sense of purpose, clarity, and pride in our mission.
The updated branding honors our history while also preparing us for the future. With clean lines, modern typography, and a visual system that reflects the spirit of excellence, this new look supports our outreach, our storytelling, and the many programs that help share the legacy of our Honorees.
The Class of 2025 Inductees and representatives
Honoring the Class of 2025
One of the most anticipated moments of the year was the announcement and celebration of the Class of 2025. The newly selected Inductees were recognized for their achievements and lifelong impact in fields spanning education, community leadership, service, and innovation. Along with the ten individuals chosen for the Class of 2025, we introduced a special 11th Inductee under a brand new category, the Historical Figure.
Their induction was commemorated at the 2025 Honors Ceremony, where family, friends, and supporters gathered to celebrate the enduring contributions of each Honoree. The ceremony reflected gratitude, pride, and appreciation for the individuals who continue to shape South Dakota. From the thoughtful storytelling to the community support that filled the room, the event was a powerful reminder of why the Hall of Fame exists.
