Thank You For Helping Us Celebrate the Class of 2021

We had a fantastic Honors Ceremony weekend to celebrate the Class of 2021 and we want to thank each and every one of you for joining us. There were so many highlights–from the Inductee welcome to the last of the speeches during the Honors Ceremony banquet, it was a memorable weekend honoring our ten newest Champions of Excellence.

The online auction was a success!  We want to thank everyone who generously donated items, as well as those who bid on items. The proceeds from the auction fund our programming year-round. Programming such as: the Acts of Excellence program, the Legends & Learning educational program, Legacy of Achievements, and so much more.

We had a great Anniversary Reunion on Saturday, celebrating 40 years worth of Dream Chasers, and showcasing the way a legacy and its impact has a lasting effect. It is a joy to see past and new inductees meet and share in the celebration together.

Greta Chapman, CEO of the South Dakota Hall of Fame, was recognized for her eight years of dedication to the Hall and for helping to expand programming. Greta is retiring from her position, and we are thankful for how she has helped our organization champion a culture of excellence during her time with the Hall. She is being succeeded by Laurie Becvar as the new CEO.

Every single Inductee and their stories left an impact and we are honored to induct them into the South Dakota Hall of Fame. It is truly something special to witness the impact each individual has had on the state of South Dakota. The Class of 2021 is–Gary Cammack, Jon Crane, Ray Hillenbrand, David Kapaska, Angela Kennecke, Dan Kirby, Steven Lindquist, Ryan McFarland, Marian Sullivan, and Craig Tieszen.

We want to thank our sponsors for the Class of 2021 Honors Ceremony. Without their generosity, we would not be able to celebrate the Class of 2021. We can’t wait to see you all at the next Honors Ceremony! Stay tuned for the Class of 2022 announcement coming soon.
