Pierre man posthumously inducted into South Dakota Hall of Fame

A man from Pierre has been posthumously inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame, located in Chamberlain.

Jim Soyer was one of 11 people celebrated during an Honors Ceremony earlier this month (Sept. 12-13, 2025). Soyer was inducted for his contributions to the state in the Political category.
