Empowering Legacies – A New Exhibit at the South Dakota Hall of Fame

South Dakota Hall of Fame Inductees are as diverse as the state's landscape and come from all walks of life. This March is National Women’s History Month and during this special month, we are honored to announce a brand new exhibit debuting at our Visitor & Education Center this spring.

Through the “Empowering Legacies: Women’s Impact in South Dakota” exhibit, we celebrate the prevailing legacies of extraordinary women whose influence has greatly shaped the history and culture of our state.

This exhibit shares the stories of 24 remarkable women who have shaped the culture of our state for over a century. They have paved the way for generations of women to follow in their footsteps and have made an impact on all of South Dakota by exemplifying excellence.

Each Inductee’s story features the collective influence and inspiration these women have had on the state, historic moments of change and progress, and life lessons that allow us to draw inspiration and insight. Below you can find the women featured in this upcoming exhibit, and links to visit their legacy pages to draw inspiration from their stories.
