Art Show Artist Application
South Dakota Hall of Fame is offering South Dakota artisans the opportunity to participate in the Visitor and Education Center's art show. This all-inclusive art show welcomes all ages and levels of experience. We especially encourage first-timers to display art in the show. Artisans will showcase their creativity and the unique individuality which exists within our state. Artworks will be on display in the Visitor and Education Center during the month of June 2024.
Liability: All due care will be exercised in handling the work submitted. The South Dakota Hall of Fame will not be held responsible for loss, damage, or for any artwork left after pickup dates.
Artist Information
Artwork Drop-off
Each accepted work must be hand delivered and properly prepared for hanging or display. The artist is responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Artwork drop-off and pick-up are during specified times. No shipped pieces will be accepted.
Art Preparation
Artwork not ready to hang upon delivery will not be accepted. Art should be properly framed, and/or finished on all edges. If not framed, textiles and quilts must supply hardware for display. Heavy or over-sized work, 60 lbs. or over 72" in any direction will not be accepted due to space limitations.
Liability and Conditions
Entry implies agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus. Utmost care and caution will be used in handling all art pieces during the installation and throughout the exhibition period; however, the artist agrees that the South Dakota Hall of Fame will not be held responsible for loss or damage to art. The SD Hall of Fame reserves the right to use photographic reproductions of works in the exhibition for publicity and other promotional purposes.
